Connecting the appliance to
electricity
WARNING

Touching live parts may result in severe
injury or death.

When positioning the appliance, en-
sure the supply cord is not trapped or
damaged. Do not kink the mains cord
or lay it over sharp edges.
■
Connection to a timer or separate re-
mote control system for the purpos-
es of remotely monitoring and con-
trolling it is not permitted.

1. Turn the temperature controller (11) to
‘OFF’.
2. Insert the mains plug into an easily acces-
sible and properly installed socket (220-
240 V~ / 50 Hz).
The ‘Power’ indicator light (8) illuminates.
The lighting (2) is switched on when the lid
is opened.
3. Turn the temperature controller (11) to a
middle value.
The indicator lights ‘Run’ (9) and ‘Alarm’ (10)
illuminate. The appliance will start freezing.
4. Wait three to four hours before adding
frozen food for storage. With a very high
ambient temperature, for example, in the
summer, you should wait more than four
hours before storing food.
