CAUTION
Risks for certain groups of people
Danger to children and people with im-
paired physical, sensory or mental abil-
ities!
■
This appliance can be used by chil-
dren aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack
of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or in-
struction concerning use of the ap-
pliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children aged
from 3 to 8 years are allowed to load
and unload refrigerating appliances.

Children shall not play with the appli-
ance.
■
Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without su-
pervision.
■
Make sure children do not have unsu-
pervised access to the appliance.
Risks when dealing with fridge
and freezer appliances
Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to fi re and property damage.
■
Only connect the appliance to a prop-
erly installed and earthed electric
socket.
■
In order to guarantee suffi cient air
circulation, keep ventilation open-
ings, in the appliance enclosure or in
the built-in structure, clear of obstruc-
tion.
■
Do not position the appliance directly
against the wall and adhere to min-
imum distances (see „Suitable loca-
tion“ on page EN-19).
Risk of injury!
Improper handling of the appliance
may result in injury.
■
The appliance is heavy and bulky.
Seek the help of another person dur-
ing transport and setup.
■
Check that entry route and instal-
lation location are free of obstacles
(e.g. closed doors or objects lying on
the fl oor).
■
Do not stand or sit on the lid.
■
Do not place heavy objects on the ap-
pliance, as they could fall down and
cause injuries.
■
Carefully close the lid; there is a risk
of pinching a body part.
■
Lay out the mains cable in such a way
that it does not become a trip hazard.
Health hazard!
Contaminated food can cause health
problems.
■
Do not leave the lid open for a long
time. Otherwise, this can then lead to
a signifi cant increase in temperature
inside the appliance and cause frozen
food to thaw.
■
If the refrigerating appliance is left
empty for long periods, switch off,
defrost, clean, dry, and leave the lid
open to prevent mould developing
within the appliance.
