Requirements for safe use
– You have read chapter “Safety” from page

for approximately 3 seconds.
The interior light (19) will light up and the
temperature display (2) will appear. The
appliance is switched on.
The compressor starts to work, the refrig-

humming sound can be heard.
2. If the appliance is making unusual noises,
check that it is stable and remove any ob-
jects that may be on top of it.

Operation
Setting the temperature
WARNING
Health hazard!
The appliance may not operate proper-
ly if exposed to low ambient tempera-
tures for extended periods of time. This
can then lead to an increase in temper-
ature inside the appliance.
■
Always ensure the prescribed ambi-
ent temperature is maintained (see
“Intended use” on page EN-5).
Using the buttons ‘Increase temperature’ (4)
and ‘Decrease temperature’ (5), you can set
the temperature in the appliance. The tem-
perature display (2) shows the set temper-
ature.
You can set the freezer to a temperature be-
tween
−
16 °C and
−
24 °C. The optimal freez-
er temperature is
−
18 °C. The freezer has
been preset to this temperature.
• First select a medium setting.
• If, for example in summer, the ambient
temperature increases, so select a lower
setting accordingly.
If you set a lower temperature, you
will need higher cooling perfor-
mance. This increases the energy con-
sumption.
To set
– the temperature higher, press the ‘Increase
temperature’ button (4) until the desired
temperature is displayed.
– the temperature lower, press the ‘Decrease
temperature’ button (5) until the desired
temperature is displayed.
The setting takes effect automatically after
3 seconds.
You ideally need a freezer thermometer to be
able to control the cooling efficiency.
• Place the freezer thermometer in one of
the large freezer drawers (13); the ideal
storage temperature is –18 °C.
