Assembly
Define the installation space
WARNING
Risk of injury!
Improper installation of the appliance
can lead to injury.
■
Before drilling the holes, ensure that
no wires or cables (power, gas, water
etc.) will be damaged (check with a
line locator).
■
The ceiling must have a load-bear-
ing capacity of at least 40 kg at the
installation point and be at least 30
mm thick in order to provide suffi -
cient support for dowels or heavy-du-
ty anchors.
CAUTION
Fire hazard!
■
The distance between the cooking
surfaces and the lower edge of the
Exhaust hood must be at least 65 cm
for gas cookers.
■
For gas stovetops, you must read the
user manual for the stovetop! If the
manual stipulates a larger distance,
this must be observed.
The exhaust hood must be placed over the
centre of the cooking zone in order to operate
at full capacity later.
1. If possible, move the cooker aside so that
you have enough space to install the ex-
haust hood.
(6)
2. Use a plumb line to determine the point of
the ceiling above the centre of the cooker.
During exhaust air operation, the con-
nection for the exhaust air hose should
already be located at this point.
3. At this point, place the centre of the base
plate (6) in such a way that the broadside
is facing where the exhaust hood should
be operated later on, and mark out 12 drill
holes (see illustration).
4. Drill the holes in the ceiling at the marked
points, with a diameter of 10 mm.
5. Insert 12 wall plugs (14) into the drilled
holes.
6. Screw the base plate to the ceiling using
the screws (15) or heavy duty anchors
(16).
