Section 5: Work Zone
5.1 Work Zone Control or Isolation
Does the work zone
require control or
isolation?
Yes, 10 M x 15 M exclusion zone.
Isolate the work site and ensure no one within 10 meters of the
discharge chute of the machine. Risk of being hit by debris. Place a
guard or large barrier to reduce the risk of debris hitting others or
property.

Section 6: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for the operator and persons
assisting with loading and unloading.
Wear High Visability clothing if you are working with other people on the work site.
Breathing mask may be required. Tight fitting gloves recommen
ded.
Section 7: Fuel, Power Source and Lubricants
Fuel
Use 91 unleaded petrol. Store in an approved fuel vessel
Oil
Use SAE 10W-30 Grade oil.
Section 8: Operating Instructions
8.1 Chipper set-up
1.
Ensure the chipper is positioned on flat level ground and is stable.
2.
Check that the ground surface around the feed chute is level and not slippery. Ensure
there is adequate ventilation for exhaust fumes.
