Rake Wheel
Rake wheel floatation pressure on each rake wheel is factory set for the correct spring pressure with the
Hex/Jam nut. If more or less rake wheel pressure is needed other than what is available on the lock ring,
adjust the Hex/Jam nut combination.
OPERATION & ADJUSTMENTS
FLOATATION
Rake Arm/Wheels
Floatation pressure of the rake wheels can be adjusted by adjusting the pressure rod assembly.
• Hydraulically raise the rake beams so they are off the ground approximately 6”.
• Loosen the lock ring and turn the rod collar to show more threads. This increases the down pressure
of the rake wheels.
• Showing fewer showing decreases the down pressure of the rake wheels.
• Hand-tighten the lock ring once the proper adjustment has been made.
NOTE: Re-torque rake tooth bolts/nuts after the first 100 acres to 40 ft./lbs .
Check periodically thereafter.
