c) insert a pair of stays in each tunnel on one side of the canvas (see image below).
d) fit the stay clamps (14) for the mid-supports and stay clamps (15) for the corner supports as per
the figure below. place the stay 25 cm above the ground and tighten the screws loosely. carefully
knock the screws into the holes with a hammer before the nyloc nuts are tightened.
NoTE:
the nuts should be on the inside of the tent.
e) once the stay clamps and the lower stay are fitted on one side, pull the canvas over the frame
and down the other side.
TIP:
visually check that all parts of the frame are correctly assembled before the canvas is fitted. if a
stay comes apart when the end wall canvas is fitted, this may make it impossible to correctly fit the
canvas.
f) two people standing around 1/3 of the way in from each end wall are needed to pull the canvas
over the frame. use stools or similar to reach the canvas to pull it over the roof ridge.
g) place the canvas so that it sticks out an equal distance over the front and rear end walls. repeat
steps b), c) and d) to fit the lower stays on the side with the loose-hanging canvas.
h) check that the lower stays are approximately the same height on both sides. keep the canvas taut
and screw in the stay clamps to secure. note: press the stay downwards to tauten the canvas before
the screws are fully tightened.
