Attaching the exterior panels to the base
□
Line up and insert the cam lock dowels (BB) in the base (A) with the
holes in the bottom of the left and right side exterior panels (H & I).
□
Insert 4 cam locks (CC) into the holes at the bottom of the left and
right side exterior panels (H & I). Make sure the arrows on the cam
locks (CC) are down toward the base (A). Turn the cam locks (CC) to
tighten. Do not strip the cam locks by over tightening.
□
Insert 4 cam lock covers (DD) onto the cam locks (CC) in the bottom
of the left and right side exterior panels (H & I).

Attaching the top
□
Place the top (J) finished side down, on a soft clean surface.
□
Insert and tighten 8 cam lock dowels (BB) into the top (J). Make sure
the threaded side is facing down so you can insert and tighten each
cam lock dowel (BB) into each hole.
□
Insert 8 wood dowels (AA) into the holes at the top of the left and
right side exterior and interior panels (H, B, C, & I).
□
Turn the top (J) over and line up the cam lock dowels (BB) in the top
with the holes in the top of the left and right side interior and exterior
panels (H, B, C, & I). Make sure the wood dowels (AA) also line up
with the holes in the top (J).
□
Push the top (J) down onto the left and right side exterior and interior
panels (H, B, C, & I) until flush.
□
Insert 8 cam locks (CC) into the holes at the top of the left and right
side exterior and interior panels (H, B, C & I). Make sure the arrows
on the cam locks (CC) are facing up toward the top (J). Turn the cam
locks (CC) to tighten. Do not strip the cam locks by over tightening.
□
Insert 8 cam lock covers (DD) onto the cam locks (CC) in the
top of the left and right side exterior and interior panels (H, B, C & I).
nOTe:
The top is heavy. It is recommended that you use two people at
this stage to prevent damage to the top of the mantel assembly.
