Hardware - Card Reader (continued)

• 

Press 3 for Merchant Id

Selecting this option queries the reader for its currently saved Merchant Id number.

•  Press 4 for Terminal Id

Selecting this option queries the reader for its currently saved Terminal Id number.

•  Press 5 for PED Id

Selecting this option queries the reader for its currently saved PED Id number.

•  Press 6 for URL

Selecting this option queries the reader for its currently saved URL address. This address is used by the 

reader to communicate with the Moneris servers.

To configure a card reader with your merchant parameters use menu option 2.

•  Press 2 for Write Info To Rdr

If your Moneris solution uses the Verifone 

UX300

 or 

UX410 

(contactless/tap reader only), the next 

screen displays:

1.  Merchant ID

2.  Terminal ID

3.  PED ID

4.  Moneris URL

5.  Back

If your Moneris solution uses the Verifone 

UX301

, the next screen displays:

1.  Merchant ID

2.  Back

Press 1 for Merchant ID

Using the number keys on the keypad, enter the 13-digit Merchant ID received from Moneris. When 

done, press F4 to save.  

Saving this value writes it to the kiosk database and also attempts to send it to the reader for its 

internal storage.

This value is required for all card reader models.

•  Press 2 for Terminal ID

Using the number keys on the keypad, enter the 8-digit terminal identification number received 

from Moneris. 

Press F4 to save.

This option is only available if your Moneris solution uses the Verifone 

UX300

 or 

UX410

 model readers.  

The 

UX301

 obtains this information automatically from the Moneris servers.
