The EVO is a direct vent appliance. The EVO is listed as a Category IV condensing appliance. (The EVO
Venting is rated at Zero Clearance to combustibles.)
THE EVO EFFICIENCY TESTING AND RATINGS ARE BASED ON A SEALED, TWO PIPE
VENT SYSTEM; HOWEVER, MANY OTHER VENT CONFIGURATIONS ARE AVAILABLE AS
FACTORY ENGINEERED SOLUTIONS. PLEASE CONTACT THE FACTORY IF EXCEPTIONS
ARE REQUIRED FOR YOUR INSTALLATION.
SPECIAL VENTING SYSTEM DESIGN NOTES
It is extremely important to follow these
venting instructions carefully. Failure to do
so can cause severe personal injury, death
or substantial property damage.
This vent system will operate with a positive
pressure in the vent pipe. Do not connect
vent connectors serving appliances by
natural draft into any portion of mechanical
draft systems operating under pressure.

WARNING
NOTE:
For concrete construction or to meet certain fire codes, exhaust and inlet piping at the wall penetration to the
EVO must be CPVC Schedule 40 or 80 or stainless. The balance from the penetrated wall to the outside may be PVC
Schedule 40 or 80.
NOTE: If set points exceed 140ºF, use of PVC is NOT recommended, even though product is approved as such.
