8. Getting started and product maintenance
Before each use, make sure that every component is
installed, functions properly, that the battery is charged and,
if necessary, that the tyres are inflated to the appropriate
pressure.
Do not open the housing under any circumstance. The user
may not service internal parts or components.
8.1. Switching on
•
To switch on, briefly actuate the on/off switch once or twice
(see point 6.3). Both lights will light up briefly and the
battery indicator will display the charge level. The device will
adjust to the neutral position. The blue LED indicates the
device is ready for use.
8.2. Switching off
•
To switch off, hold the on/off switch down for two seconds.
You will hear a short tone and all lights on the device will go
out. The device is now switched off.
•
If you do not move your Cruiser for a long period of time, it
will switch off automatically to save energy.
Warning
•
Do not modify the product under any circumstance.
•
Before carrying out any of the following procedures, make
sure that the product is switched off and the power cable
is unplugged.
•
These procedure are dangerous when the product is
switched on or charged.
8.3. Lifting the product
•
Always use appropriate lifting and charging technology.
•
Choose sturdy, stationary lifting points, for example, in the
middle of the lower section.
•
Always lift from a squatting position and not from the back.
Warning
•
Pay attention to your fingers. Do not lift the product onto
tyres, protective plates or wheels.
•
You could catch your hands or fingers between the tyres
and the protective plate, resulting in injury.
8.4. Checking the tyres/wheel components
•
Make sure that the wheel does not wobble. Grip the wheel
and try to move it from one side to the other. It must not
move from side to side.
•
If the wheel wobbles, please contact our Support team.
8.5. Checking the tyre pressure
•
Check the tyre pressure for models with pneumatic tyres
regularly. Incorrect tyre pressure negatively affects the range.
•
If the pressure in one or both tyres does not correspond to
the
Technical Specifications
for your product model, you
should inflate the tyres accordingly.
•
Make sure that both tyres have the same pressure and are
free from debris and residue.
Warning
•
The pressure given in the operating instructions, not the
pressure of the tyres themselves, is the required pressure.
•
Higher tyre pressure reduces suspension and traction and
increases the risk of losing control, collision or falling.
•
Lower tyre pressure decreases the range and may damage
the tyres/wheel components.
•
Unequal tyre pressure causes the product to pull in the
direction of the tyre with lesser pressure while driving.
8.6. Cleaning the product
Clean the product carefully with a moist cloth. Do not let any
moisture enter the product while cleaning.
