Maintenance and Care
If the Hakomatic B1050 is fitted
with a cab safety roof, the
trough battery can only be in-
stalled from the left-hand side
of the vehicle; the cab safety
roof is provided with a recess
(Fig. 23/4) for the lifting gear
rope.
When installing the trough bat-
tery, use appropriate lifting
gear.
The battery may only be in-
stalled using lifting gear by
properly trained personnel.
Connect the battery plug (Fig. 23/6) and
vehicle socket (Fig. 23/5) to each other.
Ensure they are connected firmly.
5.4.5 Disposing of batteries
Used batteries with the recycling sym-
bol contain reusable commodities. In
accordance with symbol with the
crossed out bin, these batteries must
not be disposed of in domestic waste.
Return and recycling must be agreed
on with Hako's authorized dealer in ac-
cordance with § 8 Battery Directive
(German: BattV)!
5.4.6 Total discharge signal trans-
ducer (TSG)
The Hakomatic B1050 is equipped with
a charge control for protection against
total discharge of the batteries. The to-
tal discharge signal transducer (TSG) is
integrated in the electronic system and
setup at the factory for battery type PzS
(armor plate insulation) (digit in the ser-
vice indicator: No. 5). If other batteries
are used, the total discharge signal
transducer must be adjusted.
The total discharge signal
transducer may only be adjust-
ed by an authorized Hako ser-
vice center.
