7. Assembly and operation
7.1 Extending and setting up the ladder
Caution, damage!
Always handle the ladder carefully.
Extend and collapse the ladder in a deliberate and
careful way. If a rail is bent or damaged, the ladder
can potentially be extended or collapsed only with
difficulty or not at all.
NOTE
1.
Advance note:
Always extend the telescoping ladder from the
lowest extendable step upwards; the telescoping
ladder must not be extended using a step from
the middle or upper part.
2. Place the collapsed ladder vertically on a firm
level surface and place one foot in the middle
of the locked ground step (1st step) in order to
secure the ladder.
Use both hands to grab the black retaining rings
[E] of the 3rd step [B] (the step of the lowest
extendable section of the ladder) and gently pull
them out until the entire area is fully extended
and the ladder step is completely engaged.
Repeat this work process (the next extendable
step is the 4th step from the bottom).
3. In order to ascend a ladder step, the locking
guides [F] on the 2nd and 3rd step must be
completely filled in GREEN.
GREEN means:
The ladder step is locked and can be ascended.
RED or RED/GREEN means:
The ladder step is not locked.
In addition, further locking guide [F-1] is located
underneath the ladder step.
When the ladder is extended, this GREEN mark-
ing also indicates from below that the ladder
step is safely locked.
