The user interface board is attached to the inside 

of the control panel with eight plastic clips.

User Interface Board Removal

1.  Remove the control panel. (See 

Control 

Panel

 in the 

Dryer Components

 section of 

this service guide.)

2.  Disconnect harness connectors from the UI 

board and place the control panel face down 

on a protective surface.

3.  Unclip eight plastic clips that attach the user 

interface board to the control panel.

  User Interface (UI) Board

4.  Disconnect the control panel touch board 

connection.

5. 

Remove the knob by pulling it straight off.

Operation of the User Interface board can 

be checked by using the service mode. (See 

Service Mode

 in the 

Diagnostics

 section of this 

service guide.)

Faults associated with the control board can 

initiate fault codes E05 E06 and E12 (see the 

Fault Codes

 section of this service guide).

  Top Cover

Removal of the control panel provides access 

to three Phillips-head screws located at the 

front edge of the top cover.  After removal of 

the screws, the cover can then be slid forward 

approximately 1/4-inch, and then lifted to 

disengage it from the cabinet.
