Use the bracket as a template for marking the mounting
holes
• Using an appropriate drill, drill two holes at the marks and
insert anchors.
• Using screws (supplied) attach the bracket to the wall as in
Figure.
• Line up the side slot of the bracket and the detector. Push
the detector onto the mounting bracket and turn it clockwise
to fix it into place. Insert the locking pin in order to secure the
mounting bracket to the detector (see figure).
• Pull the detector outward to make sure it is securely attached
to the mounting bracket.
WARNING:
• This detector is not suitable for installation in a hazardous
location, as defined in the national electrical code.
WARNING
: Do not test with flame. This can set fire to the
alarm and damage the house. We do not recommend testing
with smoke as the results can be misleading unless special
device is used.
6. REPLACING THE BATTERIES
Fresh batteries should last about three years. When battery
power is low and replacement is necessary, the alarm will
“beep” and the LED will flash at the same time about once per
35 seconds for at least 30 days. For maximum reliability, replace
battery at least once a year.
Test the alarm for correct operation using the test button
whenever the batteries are replaced.
If the power indicator light ceases flashing, replace the battery.
Be sure to replace the battery as soon as possible to ensure
proper operation and to avoid a leaking battery. Leakage
could cause damage to the alarm, furniture and carpeting.
WARNING:
Use of any other battery than specified in the
technical data may be detrimental to the operation of the
Smoke Detector.
