now be triggered, depending on the settings. In the case of
range problems, choose a different location for your PGSD834
smoke detector. Moving the PGSD834 just a few centimetres
can make a big difference in range.
4. INSTALLATION
The following procedure explains the installation of the
PGSD834 wireless smoke detector and its registration to the
receiver.
To install smoke detectors:
1.
Open the cover.
2. Install the batteries into the detector’s batteries
Compartment.
See Figure Batteries Compartment
3. The PGSD834 enters Test mode.
From the Programming menu, select Devices, Zones [911].
Select the zone to which you want to register the transmitter;
the system initiates Registration mode. When
Save? appears
on the panel’s LCD display, press

Locking Pin
• Before permanently
mounting the unit, test
the transmitter from
the exact mounting
position.
