• Some parts of the iron have been slightly greased and as a result
the iron may smoke slightly when switched on for the first time.
After a short time, the smoking will cease.
•
Before using for the first time remove any sticker or protective foil
from the soleplate. Clean the soleplate with a soft cloth.
• Do not put vinegar or other descaling agents into the water
reservoir.
• Do not use chemically descaled water.
• The cord-set should not be allowed to touch the hot soleplate.
• Do not use the appliance if the plug, cord or the appliance itself
shows visible damage or if the appliance has been dropped or is
leaking. For electrical safety, any repairs to the appliance must be
carried out by a qualified electrical engineer only.

This is an attended appliance. Never leave the iron unattended
when in use.
•
Always use and rest the iron on a stable, level, heat resistant
surface.
• Burns can occur from touching the hot sole plate, hot water or
steam.
• To protect against injury never iron or steam fabrics whilst they
are being worn.
• To protect the cord do not wind it tightly when stored and avoid the
cord rubbing or touching the hot sole plate in use.
• This appliance is intended for household use only and not for
commercial, industrial or outdoor use.

Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
• Please ensure the wall outlet in your house is well earthed.
