Troubleshooting
Symptom
Solution
No device detected
Verify that the preference is set to the correct
communication port.
Verify that the meter is in the PC On mode.
Transmission error—The
transmission was interrupted
or the data was not
downloaded within the
timeout period.
Verify that the meter is in the PC On mode and download
again.
Serial communications has
timed out—The MP-Dock
had a problem and the
download process did not
start within the timeout
period.
Verify that the meter is in the PC On mode and download
again.
Demo
and None are the only
communication port options
in the Port Preferences
drop-down list.
Make sure that the MP-Dock is securely plugged into a
USB port.
Close the MP DataLink application and re-open it.
If there is still no communication port option, contact the IT
department or System Administrator to make sure that
there is a port available for use.
