L) Indicates axis Mode

M) Indicates which axis is running

N) Displays show current data, i.e., a current spindle position of 180.

O) Indicates which axis servo is on.

P) Indicates what data is being displayed. Either 

P

, blank, or 

G

 for Position, Feed Rates, Loop Count,

Step Angle, or G Code.

Q) Indicates the active axis.

R) Present step number. Step numbers 1 to 99 are available. Also displays errors at turn on.

There is a single 220V AC supply required by the controller. Ensure that the front panel power switch is turned

off and connect the motor cables from the indexer and the power cord.

Turn the controller on. Within a few seconds, the displays will show:

HAAS DUAL nn

where 

nn

 is the software revision numbers. Those numbers should be used when describing problems to Haas.

If any other message is displayed, refer to the "

Error Codes

" section of this manual. The numbers only remain

in the display for about one second. Within one second, the front panel displays should indicate:

Por On

This indicates that the servos are turned off (no power is applied to the closed-loop motor).

In addition, the internal battery is checked at power-on and if the battery is low the following message is

displayed:

Lo bAt

Pressing any key will allow you to continue operation but the low battery may have caused loss of your

program parameters.

Press the front panel START switch once. The panel should now indicate:

A no Ho

B no Ho

S:AB

M:AB

This indicates that the motors are now powered but the zero position is not yet defined (there is no home

position).

WARNING!

The operator should only shut off power to the controller if the tilt axis

is in the normal operation zone. If this is not possible, contact Haas

Automation for assistance.
