(1) Insert the card into the slot
(2) Rotate the ejector levers inward
(3) Fasten the captive screws
Installing power modules
CAUTION:
Do not install an AC power module and a DC power module on the same IPS.
The installation procedure is the same for AC and DC power modules. This section uses an AC power
module as an example. For more information about AC and DC power modules available for the IPS, see

To install a power module:
1.
If the target power module slot has a filler panel installed, use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the
captive screws on the filler panel and remove the filler panel.
2.
Unpack the power module.
3.
Follow the installation graph printed on the filler panel of the power module to install the power
module:
a.
Correctly orient the power module.
b.
Holding the power module handle with one hand and supporting the module bottom with the
other, push the power module along the guide rails into the slot until it has firm contact with the
slot.

Press the handle on the power module into the handle slots in the power module.
5.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to fasten the captive screw on the handle to secure the power module in
the chassis.
