Installing and removing the card
CAUTION:
•
Wear a reliably-grounded ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves before you install or remove the card.
•
Do not touch the components on the PCB.
The slots on the H3C S7500E/S7600 switches are either horizontally oriented or vertically oriented.
When installing the card in a horizontal slot, make sure its PCB faces up. When installing the card in a
vertical slot, make sure its PCB faces left.
This section uses a horizontally-oriented card to describe the installation and removal procedures.
5.1
Installing the card
1.
Face the front panel of the switch. Remove the filler panel from the target slot.
2.
Place the card horizontally with the PCB facing up. Pull outward the ejector levers on the card and
gently push the card into the slot along the guide rails.
3.
Push the ejector levers inward so that the card is in close contact with the backplane.
4.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the captive screws on the card.
