Parameters
preference
: Specifies the preference for IS-IS protocol, ranging from 1 to 255.
route-policy-name
: Routing policy name, a string of 1 to 19 characters. The preference
applies to routes passing the routing policy.
Description
Use the
preference
command to configure the preference for IS-IS protocol.
Use the
undo preference
command to restore the default.
By default, the IS-IS protocol preference is 15.
If a routing policy is specified in this command, the preference (if any) set by the routing
policy applies to those matched routes. Other routes use the preference set by the
preference
command.
When a router runs multiple routing protocols at the same time, the system will set a
preference to each routing protocol. If several protocols find routes to the same
destination, the route of the routing protocol with the highest preference is selected.
