Operating Adjustments
The freezer will need to be tested with mix for verification of proper control set-
tings. Follow the disassembly, cleaning and assembly instructions in the Operator's
Manual. Once the freezer has been assembled and sanitized, prime the freezer
with mix in accordance with the Operator's Manual instructions.
The following adjustments are mandatory on installation. All adjustments must be
within specifications to obtain proper operation of the freezer.
8.1 Thermostat
IMPORTANT:
To correctly set the cylinder expan-
sion valve, the cabinet thermostat
switch must be in the “OFF” position
(Full counterclockwise) with the
compressor running.
IMPORTANT:
To correctly set the cabinet expansion
valve, the selector switch must be in
the “OFF” position, and the cabinet
switch in the “ON” position (with the
compressor running.
1. Thermostat “A” is the
cabinet refrigeration
thermostat. The cabi-
net thermostat main-
tains a mix tempera-
ture of 35°-41°F in the
mix storage cabinet.
This thermostat can be
adjusted by rotating the
adjustment knob. To set this
thermostat colder, turn the
adjustment knob clockwise.
The normal setting for the
cabinet thermostat is be-
tween #2 and #4.
3. The thermostat marked “B” is the
cylinder thermostat for normal opera-
tion. For a correct adjustment, a
thermometer must be used to check
the actual product temperature. Each
thermostat should be set for the
product being used. In most cases, a
temperature setting of between 18°
and 19°F will result in a satisfactory
product.
NOTE:
Do NOT adjust the product
temperature below 17°F. A freeze-up may
result. The setting son the thermostat are
ONLY to be used as a guide; actual
setting must be determined by measuring
the frozen product temperature with an
accurate thermometer.
