1 .02 Purpose and use
Purpose
LP50 / LP50H is a floor mounted lifting platform which can be used by per -
sons with impaired mobility (e.g. walking-impaired, wheelchair users, persons
with pushchairs and sack trucks) to meet the demand for negotiating minor
height differences of up to 830 mm.
The LP50 is a vertical lifting platform. LP50H is a lifting platform with a com-
bined vertical and horizontal movement.
Use
The LP50/LP50H is recessed into the floor in front of the stairs/landing and is
designed for permanent installation indoors. The lifting platform may be used
in temperatures from -10 to +40 degrees. In temperatures of less than -10
degrees, the application of suitable heating beneath the platform is recom-
mended.
When the lifting platform is activated, the four safety edges go up automa-
tically and ensure that the user does not roll over the edge when the platform
is in motion. When the platform is level with the landing, the platform stops
and the safety edge in the front goes down automatically so the user can
drive onto the landing.
LP50 is designed and produced in accordance with current standards for nego-
tiating height differences from 0-500 mm.
LP50H is designed and produced in accordance with current standards for
negotiating height differences (stairs) from 0-830 mm. Be aware of local regula-
tions in relation to lifting height.
Great importance is attached to the design and implementation to achieve an
attractive and harmonious installation in different environments, private and pub-
lic. Public environments are institutions, public buildings, etc., where the lifting
platform is subject to a certain amount of supervision. In these environments, the
lifting platform should be locked, protecting it against unintentional use or games.
When the lifting platform is in use, it is understood that the user has been
instructed on its use, or that a skilled personnel is present to assist.
