Commissioning of the gas heater:
• Before use, place the gas cylinder upright for 1
hour, if it has been transported beforehand, so that
the environmentally harmful parts can collect at the
bottom of the cylinder.
• Connect the gas bottle as described above.
Place the gas bottle in the interior (rear) of the
appliance.
• Open the cylinder valve on the propane cylinder by
turning it to the left.
• If the leak test is successful, start the unit as follows:
1) Set the valve control knob to the ignition position
* and press it down to release the gas supply manually.
(S10 fig. 2)
2) Keep the control dial pressed and press the piezo
ignition button several times.
This ignites the pilot flame.
If the pilot flame does not ignite, wait 30 seconds and
then carry out the ignition process again.
3) When the pilot flame has ignited, keep the
rotary control pressed for another 20 seconds until the
thermal fuse has warmed up and keeps the gas supply
open.
Never keep the valve control knob pressed in the
ignition position for longer than 40 seconds!
4) When the pilot flame is lit, ignite the main burner
by pushing the valve control slightly downwards and
selecting the desired heating level/burning power. (The
control engages - to adjust it, press it down again slightly)
(p.10, fig. 3+4).
Be sure to stand behind or to the side of the appliance and
not in front of the burner!
Do not move the heater when it is in operation!
Decommissioning of the gas heater:
1) Turn the valve control knob to the ignition
position * as described above.
This extinguishes the main burner and only the pilot
flame burns.
2) Stop the gas supply and switch off the appliance
by closing the valve on the gas bottle completely.
Inspection and maintenance
• Dirt on the housing can be wiped off with a damp
cloth. Make sure that no water gets on the surface of
the catalytic burner.
• Do not use abrasives or solvents for cleaning.
• If the appliance is not used for a longer period
of time, the gas bottle must be removed and the
appliance must be stored in a protected place. (S 12)
• Contact your authorised dealer for more extensive
maintenance.
• Only use original spare parts for repairs.
• At least once a month and whenever the gas bottle
is replaced, the gas hose lines must be checked. If
there are signs of damage, the hose lines must be
replaced.
• A comprehensive maintenance check of the unit,
hose lines and pressure regulator should be carried
out every 2 years by a specialist company.
• We recommend replacing the hose and regulator
every 5 years, as rubber seals and diaphragms can
become porous and thus leak.
Disposal
Disposal of the transport packaging
The packaging protects the unit from damage during
transport. The packaging materials are usually selected
according to environmentally compatible and disposal
aspects and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle saves raw
materials and reduces the amount of waste.
Packaging parts (e.g. foils, Styrofoam®) can be
dangerous for children.
There is a danger of
suffocation!
Keep packaging parts out of the reach of children and
dispose of them as soon as possible.
Warranty
The warranty period is 12 months for commercial use,
24 months for consumers and begins at the time of
purchase of the device.
The warranty only covers defects that are due to
material or manufacturing faults. When claiming
a defect within the meaning of the warranty, the
purchase receipt - which must show the date of sale -
must be enclosed with the date of sale.
Improper use, e.g. overloading of the device, use of
force, damage due to external influences, foreign
bodies, as well as non-observance of the instructions
for use and assembly and normal wear and tear are
excluded from the warranty.
