6.2.1 . SIPHONING OF LUBRICATING OIL FROM VEHICLES
AND ENGINES IN GENERAL
Before siphoning oil from engines read and apply the following guidelines:
!
First, make sure that the vehicle/engine is located on a level surface.
!
Run the engine for a few minutes to warm the oil, making it less viscous; then
turn the engine off and wait two to three minutes before starting the suction
process. Note: For removal of oil from automobiles, see the procedure in the
vehicle's handbook.
!
Remove the engine’s oil level dipstick and use it as a reference to know how deep
to insert the suction tube.
!
Insert the suction tube into the dipstick hole until resistance is encountered.
IMPORTANT
BEFORE SIPHONING LUBEOIL IN ENGINES:
The GUARANY Big Sucker Pump was designed for use with various vehicles and
engines. However, differences in the settings of the oil dipstick level and also the
crankcase configuration format can hamper or prevent the use of this equipment.
Therefore, before using it for the removal of engine oil from your vehicle/engine,
check the manual and/or any authorized dealer to confirm the possibility of oil
extraction by suction.
