Chapter 9: Accessories

7. The upper rafter (D) will be bolted into the intermediate center collar (G) using the rafter attachment

brackets (E).

Intermediate center collar

8. The rafter packages (C and D) will utilize the standard splice plate (L) but will have no purlins.

9. The upper rafter (D) and the lower rafter (C) are connected with the standard splice plate (L) using

3/8 x 1-1/2 in. flange bolts (M), 3/8 in. flat washers (N) and 3/8 in hex nuts (O).

10.Once the rafters (C and D) are in place, field drill the holes to bolt the support angles (H and I) and

into the roof rafter and attach with 3/8 x 1-1/2 in. flange bolts (M).

11.Install the support channel (K) onto the support angles (H and I) using 3/8 x 1-1/2 in. flange

bolts (M).

12.Attach the cable attachment bracket (J) in the center of the support channel (K) to hang the cable.
