Timer function
The timer function allows you to switch the radio on at a preset
time. Alternatively, the unit can also emit a buzzer sound.
To enable the timer (alarm) function, proceed as follows.
Setting the timer
• Select the timer setting mode with the MODE button.
– 'ON TIME' starts flashing on the display.
• Press the MEMO/SET button and hold it pressed.
• Set the alarm time with the buttons DOWN/HR and
UP/MIN (in the same way as the clock time).
• Press MODE to go back to CLOCK or RADIO mode.
– If you do not press MODE , the display will return to normal
time indication after 10 seconds.
Switching the timer on
• Press TIMER to switch the alarm on.
– 'TIMER' appears on the display.
– If the radio is switched off at the set time, it will switch on
automatically and tune to the last station that was heard.
After 1 hour and 59 minutes, the radio will switch off
automatically.
– If the radio is switched on at the set time, the programme
will be interrupted and there will be a buzzer sound.
– The 'TIMER' indication flashes on the display while the
timer function is active.
• Press TIMER to interrupt the timer function.
• If the alarm is required on the following day, press TIMER
once more.
Note on environmental protection
Do not throw exhausted batteries in the household
refuse. Hand over the old batteries to your dealer or
public collecting points when buying new ones.
Further notes:
• Only a soft cloth which picks up dust should be used to
clean the cabinet. Do not use aggresive polishes or cleaning
agents.
• Do not expose the unit to moisture (e.g. dripping or
splashing).
• Extreme temperature variations may cause condensation
which can in turn cause damage or malfunction.
Wait at least two hours before operating the unit.
• The type label is on the back of the unit.
