All manufacturers not listed in the table (e.g. BMW, Ford) have a connector system between the elec-
tronic system of the vehicle and the radio which deviates from the ISO norm If the GPS 3 is to be
installed in a vehicle of a manufacturer not listed in the table and which is pre-equipped with a
radio, please contact an authorized workshop. If the vehicle is retrofitted with a radio being equip-
ped with an ISO-norm connector, the navigation unit can be interconnected. In this case, please note
that the pin allocation of the foreign radio may deviate from that of Grundig radios. In any case,
observe the user manual of the retrofitted car radio.
Connecting the y-cable
If a mulfunction should occur when putting into operation the entire system (radio + GPS 3), it is pos-
sible to disengage the contacts again. For this, pull the GPS 3 cable out of the radio again and sepa-
rate the plug connection to the vehicle. The spring and pin contacts are fitted with a small catch
which ensures the engagement of the contact in the plug.
Only one side
of every spring or pin
contact is fitted with a catch. The contacts are fixed to the leads via crimp connectors.
These contacts are
already fitted at the
factory
