7. Loosen set screws of rotating seal drive part.

One set screw must be 1 mm above surface of driver part.

This set screw can be used to pull out the rotating seal
drive part.

8. Check condition of O-ring in seal drive part.

5.2 Assembling new seal

1. Clean pump shaft, remove rust and debris.

Use steel brush or emery grinding paper.

2. Check condition and cleanliness of new shaft seal drive parts.

3. Lubricate seal faces with soapy water.

Lubricate seal faces with soapy water, shaft seal with
seal face combination xQQx (silicon carbide-silicon
carbide) must NEVER run dry.
