Important Information
ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
Following the instructions as presented will help ensure proper tunnel
assembly. Failing to follow these steps may result in an improperly
assembled and anchored high tunnel and may void all warranty and
protection the owner is entitled. Steps outlining assembly are as follows:
1. Verify all parts are included in shipment. Notify Customer Service for
questions or concerns.
2. Read these instructions, the Must Read document, and all additional
documentation included with shipment
before
you begin.
3. Gather tools, bracing, ladders (and lifts), and assistance needed to
assemble high tunnel.
4. Check weather
before
you install roof cover and any panels. Do not
install covers or panels on a windy or stormy day.
5. Re-evaluate location and site based on information and precautions
presented earlier.
6. Prepare site (if applicable).
7. Assemble frame components in the order presented.
8. Assemble frame.
9. If used, attach customer-supplied baseboards boards.
10. Attach the 115287 stabilizer bars along frame sides. Consult these
instructions and all drawings for additional details.
11. Consult MUST READ document and properly anchor the frame. If
frame is anchored in concrete continue with next procedure.
12. Install, tighten, and secure end panels.
13. Install, tighten, and secure main cover.
14. Read care and maintenance information.
15. Complete and return all warranty information as instructed.
REQUIRED TOOLS
The following list identifies the main tools needed to assemble the shelter.
Additional tools and supports may be needed.
• Tape measure or measuring device and marker to mark locations on
the pipes and rafters.
• Variable speed drills and impact drivers. (Cordless with extra batteries
works best.)
• Metal-cutting saws or tools to cut pipe and aluminum.
• Drill bit set
• Wrenches and impact socket set, hammer, and gloves.
• Adjustable pliers and self-locking pliers.
• Ladders, work platforms, and other machinery for lifting designed to
work safely at the height of the frame.
• Safety equipment to protect head, eyes, hands and feet.
UNPACK AND IDENTIFY PARTS
The following steps help ensure all necessary parts are present before
beginning.
1. Unpack contents of the shipment and place where you can easily
inventory the parts. Refer to the Bill of Materials/Spec Sheets.
2. Verify that all parts listed on the Bill of Materials/Spec Sheets are
present. If anything is missing or you have questions, consult the
Pictorial Parts Guide and all diagrams for clarification, or contact
Customer Service.
NOTE:
Do not open plastic bags containing smaller parts such as
fasteners or washers at this time. Simply verify quantity.
