Persons under 18 years of age may not use
the chainsaw.
The user must have read the instructions
prior to use, be thoroughly instructed in the
use of the chainsaw and be knowledgeable
about the risks that may occur through use
of the chainsaw.
For the sake of the user’s safety, the chainsaw
may only be used with the combination of
blade and chain indicated under “Technical
data”, and may only be used with original
spare parts for repairs and maintenance of
the chainsaw.
Do not modify the chainsaw in any way !
Never use the chainsaw i f the throttle , sa f ety
switch and p rotective shield with trigger f or
the chain brake do not f unction correctly .
Do not obstruct or in any way p revent the
f unction o f the p rotective shield . Switch
the chainsaw o ff be f ore releasing the chain
brake .
Always f ollow the engine maintenance
instructions f or the chainsaw under
“Maintenance” .
Always ensure there is su ffi cient chain oil
in the tank and that the chain is fi led and
lubricated
.
Never start the engine without the air fi lter in
p lace or i f the silencer is de f ective .
Sto p the engine immediately i f engine
p roblems occur .
Sto p the engine and remove the cable f rom
the s p ark p lug be f ore removing any tra pp ed
items f rom the blade and be f ore cleaning or
maintenance .
Always use p rotective gloves when handling
the chain . Kee p the chain well away f rom
your body
,
hands and fi ngers whilst it is
running .
Ensure the chain is not in contact with
anything be
f ore starting the engine .
Never hold the chainsaw in your hand when
starting it
. I f the chain hits you , you may be
seriously injured .
Never walk around with the chainsaw while
the chain is running
.
Never p ut the chainsaw down be f ore it has
com p letely sto pp ed running . The chain will
continue to run a short time a f ter you release
the throttle .
Always hold the chainsaw with both hands ,
one on each handle , when in use .
Do not allow other p eo p le or animals to
come within a radius o f 3 metres o f the
chainsaw when in use .
Always saw with the underside o f the blade
where p ossible and avoid sawing with the ti p
o f the blade .
Caution: the chainsaw may vibrate very
heavily or kick back when you are cutting
with the end o
f the blade .
Do not use the chainsaw f or sawing any
material other than wood .
Ensure that you do not accidentally cut
p ower or tele p hone cables , etc . and always
make sure there are no other p eo p le or
animals near the chainsaw when starting or
using the chainsaw
.
Li f t the blade f rom the item being cut while
the chain is still running . I f the chain sto p s
while it is in the work p iece , it can p ull the
o p erator f orward and cause injury .
Always fi t the p rotective sleeve on the blade
when trans p orting or storing the chainsaw .
