Headphone Jack

Use for less disturbance to others around

you as well as to drown out distractions so

you can hear the tones better.

There are four tones that will help you to identify the material the detector

has found:

Bass Tone

Ferrous metals, for example nails, bolts, stainless steel, cast iron and the

smallest amount of gold.

Low Tone

Foil, aluminum, tin foil, nickels, newer pull tabs and small amounts of gold.

Medium Tone

Older pull-tabs, bottle screw caps, newer US pennies & Canadian $1 and $2

made from zinc, smallest amount of silver and large amounts of gold.

High Tone

Dimes, older copper pennies, US quarters, US silver dollar, US half dollar,

largest amount of silver and largest amount of gold.
