SECTiON 6: MAiNTENANCE
Always disconnect power
to the machine before
performing maintenance.
Failure to do this may
result in serious person-
al injury.
For optimum performance from your machine,
follow this maintenance schedule and refer to any
specific instructions given in this section. Always
wear an oshA approved respirator when clean-
ing this machine.
Daily Check/Maintenance:
•
Leaking seals or ducting.
•
Worn or damaged power cord.
•
Clean slag catch and screen as required.
•
inspect and correct for any other unsafe
condition.
•
inspect welding area before and after weld-
ing or cutting operations for fire hazards and
smouldering combustibles.
Schedule
Cleaning the Model h8375 is relatively easy. put
on an oshA approved respirator and vacuum
excess dust with a shop vacuum fitted with a
hepA filter. Wipe off the remaining dust with a
damp cloth. do not use harsh detergents or sol-
vents on the cabinet.
Cleaning
if this machine needs to be stored for a long
period of time, make sure that the following condi-
tions are met:
•
remove and manually clean the stage 4 and
5 filters.
•
Clean the stainless screen and the slag
catch.
•
Wipe out inside of cabinet and replace stage
2 and 3 filters if required.
•
place the machine in a dry area where the
humidity range will not vary beyond 30% to
95% and the storage temperature will not
vary beyond -13° to 158°F.
•
Cover machine to protect from dust and
moisture.
Long-Term Storage
When servicing filters, make sure that you
and any bystanders are wearing appropriate
respirators and body protection. When
vacuuming filters and cabinet, only use a
shop vacuum that is equipped with a HEPA
filter, or dangerous particles may be spread
throughout your shop and contaminate the
air. Wrap all waste filters in air-tight plastic
bags, mark and dispose of according to
current laws and regulations.
