10. Move nylon roller release knob to the right,
then manually move edgebanding tape back,
until its end is just in front of nylon roller

now properly set up in starting position for
operations.
Performing
Edgebanding
Operation
Once all of the initial setup is complete, perform-
ing the edgebanding operation is a relatively
simple and quick procedure.
Any workpiece you intend to edgeband with the
G0854 must have at least one straight and square
edge that is at least 11" long.
It is always best to start with a test piece of the
same material and dimensions as your intended
workpiece, in order to verify all of your settings
are correct.
Note: Glue spindle motor won't turn ON if
Emergency Stop button is pressed.
For long workpieces that extend beyond the
length of the table, it may be helpful to set up roller
stands at either end of the table to add additional
workpiece support during operations.
To perform edgebanding operation:
1. Read and follow all safety and initial setup
instructions described earlier in this manual.
2. Inspect workpiece to make sure it is suitable
for edgebanding.
3. Properly adjust panel feeder elevation (refer
to
Page 34), infeed fence position (refer
to
Page 35), and flush trimmer (refer to
Page 37).
4. Properly install edgebanding coil (refer to
Page 37) and set edgebanding height guides.
5. Turn master power switch ON.
6. Turn glue pot heater ON.
