TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE & SOLUTION
Hose has become loose on the reel
or hose is not rewinding neatly on
the reel or overlapping on itself.
Tow hose out until it is tight on the reel
again and rewind.
If the hose is still not rewinding
properly then the follower on the
guide shaft may have moved to an
incorrect location.
If fitting new hose to the reel it needs
to be started with the guide shaft all
the way to the right of the black guide
shaft but starting to move to the left
as the reel turns. Follower starting
location.
In the image above the hose has
already made two revolutions onto the
reel drum. Note the location of the
guide follower and the hose neatly
wrapped on the reel. If the hose is
gapped between the wraps the guide
follower was not in the correct location
on the shaft when the reel started to
rewind. Unwind the hose off the reel.
Reposition the guide and follower at
the right of the shaft and start winding
hose on again. This might take a
couple of tries before the hose wraps
on perfectly.
