Ventana de la pantalla de trazo

Haga clic en “Open…” debajo del menú “File” para abrir un archivo de trazo, y aparecerá una

curva de trazo en la ventana de la pantalla de trazo (Figura 7-7). El eje “x” muestra la distancia

(km); el eje “y” representa la potencia de retrodispersión (dB). Hay dos marcadores, A y B; haga

clic en uno de ellos para activarlo. Para mover el marcador, haga clic y arrastre con el puntero del

ratón; la información de posición cambiará consecuentemente. Al mover el marcador, la distancia

horizontal y la potencia vertical se pueden leer manualmente. El acercamiento y el alejamiento del

trazo dependen de la activación de un marcador. En la Figura 7-7 a continuación, la línea inclinada

representa la retrodispersión desde la fibra óptica. Los valores máximos son eventos reflexivos en

la cadena de la fibra. El extremo de la fibra se indica por medio de la caída repentina de la potencia

óptica, a la cual sigue una señal de ruido. Los símbolos en la parte inferior de la ventana indican el

tipo de evento.

Los datos de trazos recolectados por el modelo 920XC se procesarán automáticamente, y los

resultados de los análisis se incluirán en la lista de eventos (Figura 7-8).
