TROUBLESHOOTING
The table includes some of the most common problems, their causes and remedies.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The engine
fails to start
• Fuel tank is empty
• Clogged fuel filter
• Spark plug wire disconnected
• Defective spark plug
• Defective spark plug • Fill the fuel tank with the correct fuel
• Clean the fuel tank
• Connect the wire to the spark plug
• Clean the spark plug
• Replace the spark plug
Power loss;
Irregular
operation
• Loose spark plug wire
• The unit continues to operate with the
choke
• Fuel line clogged
• The fuel tank is almost empty
• Carburettor requires a reset
• Dirty/clogged air filter
• Fuel tank dirty
• Tighten the spark plug connection
• Move choke lever to normal state
• Clean the fuel lines
• Fill the fuel tank
• Consult your local distributor
• Clean or replace the air filter
• Clean the fuel tank
The motor
overheats
• Low level of engine oil
• Debris around the engine
• Fill with the correct level of oil
• Turn off the unit and clean around the
motor
The unit
vibrates
• Loose motor support plate
• Damaged blades
• Debris stuck on the blades
• Uneven surface
• Tighten the support plate
• Check the blades and replace them if
necessary
• Check the blades and remove any debris
• Place the unit on a flat surface
The unit does
not discharge
• The shredder is blocked
• Disconnect the spark plug wire and then
clean the shredder
• Add dry material or a mixture of different
materials
• Reduce the volume of material in the
conduit
• Check that the blades are not broken
The unit does
not work
• The unit takes longer to process the
material
• Check and replace the blades
• Replace or sharpen the blades
• Check that the belt is properly tensed
