ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
CAUTION!
It is essential that nobody is walking or staying in the machine working
area except for the operator in charge.
The safety guards have been provided by the manufacturer to protect
the operator from injury.
During the machine running, the safety guards must always be kept
in place (avoid removing them for any reason whatever!)
Risk of injury
Carrying out the above mentioned operations require wearing safety
gloves, goggles or face shield, ear protectors and safety shoes.
CAUTION!
Before starting any servicing or setting operation, switch off the
engine and take off the key from the control panel.
Wearing safety gloves and goggles or a face shield is compulsory.
CAUTION!
Never turn the flywheel with hands. Before approaching
the blades or counter-blade with hands, make sure the
flywheel is completely still.
11.2 Flywheel locking for servicing
activities
NOTE: Before adjusting the blades
or the counter-blade and before
replacing them for sharpening
purposes, lock the flywheel at an
adequate position, in order to avoid
its rotation while working.
Put a wooden wedge (C) as shown
in the figure aside, between the
machine framework and the disk
(D).
Once the activity is over, take off
the wedge and close the cover by
tightening its setscrews (V).
