8.3.3 pH
The lifetime of the pH sensor is mainly determined by the lifetime of the
electrode. The electrode has a shelf life of 1 year at 25 °C and has an
operating lifetime of approximately 1 year at 25 °C. Storage or operation at
higher temperatures or pressures will shorten the lifetime of the sensor.
Pollution in the media that is being measured will also shorten the lifetime of
the sensor.
