7 Installing the indoor unit

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

SELECTION OF LOCATION

Where cool air can be distributed throughout the room.

Where condensate water is easily drained out.

That can handle the weight of indoor unit.

Easy access for maintenance.

The appliance must not be installed in a laundry room.

THERE ARE 2 TYPES OF INSTALLATION.

CEILING

FLOOR

Each type is similar to the other as follows;

Indoor unit

The indoor unit should be installed in a place where:

1) the installation restrictions specified in the indoor unit installation 

drawings are met.

2) both air intake and exhaust have clear paths.

3) the unit is not in direct sunlight.

4) the unit is placed away from the heat sources or steam.

5) there is no source of machine oil vapour (this may shorten indoor 

unit life).

6) cool (warm) air is circulated throughout the room.

7) the unit is placed away from electronic ignition type fluorescent 

lamps (inverter or quick-start type) as they may shorten the remote

control range.

8) the unit is at least 1 metre away from any television or radio (unit 

may cause interference with the picture or sound).

CAUTION

DO NOT INSTALL IN AREAS WHERE

PROBLEMS ARE LIKELY TO OCCUR.

Where there is a large amount of oil.

Where there is an acid base.

Where there is an irregular electrical supply.
