Section 4: Grass Seed Rate Adjustment

NTS2507, NTS2509, & NTS2511 s/n+ 2019+ NTS Seeder 313-900M

Table of Contents

Low Range Reduction Set-up

This drive arrangement is good for seeding food plots
with the grass seedbox to draw in wild life animals and is
operated only with low range set-up. See

“Low Range

Refer to Figure 4-3:

1.

Remove 3/8" bolt (#15), lock washer (#16), and flat
washer (#17). Remove hand knobs (#18) and chain
guard (#19). Keep guard and hardware for step 6.

2.

Remove #40 x 56 pitch roller chain (#22) from
sprockets (#2, #3, & #13). Store roller chain in a
secure dry location for reverting the reduction drive
back to the standard drive.

3.

Remove bolt (#10), lock washer (#11), washer (#12),
sprocket (#13), and spacer (#14). Store spacer,
sprocket, and hardware in secure dry location for
reverting the reduction drive back to the standard
drive.

4.

Secure 17/19 dual tooth drive sprocket (#5) with
3/8"-16 x 3/4" GR5 bolt (#6), lock washer (#7), flat
washer (#8) and sleeve (#9). Tighten bolt to 31 ft-lbs.

5.

Attach #40 x 58 pitch reduction drive roller chain(#1)
to sprockets (#2, #3, & #4).

6.

Attach chain guard (#19) to mounts (#20 & #21) with
hand knobs (#18). Hand tighten knobs.

7.

Secure bottom of guard (#19) with existing
3/8"-16 x 3/4" GR5 bolt (#15), lock washer (#16, and
flat washer (#17). Tighten bolt to 31 ft-lbs.

Return to Standard High/Low Range

This drive arrangement bypasses the reduction drive and
is good for seeding healthy grass plots. This set-up can
be operated with high range or low range set-up. See

“Grass Seed High/Low Range Set-up”

Refer to Figure 4-3:

1.

Remove 3/8" bolt (#15), lock washer (#16), and flat
washer (#17). Remove hand knobs (#18) and chain
guard (#19). Keep guard and hardware for step 7.

2.

Remove #40 x 58 pitch roller chain (#1) from
sprockets (#2, #3, & #4). Store roller chain in a
secure dry location for reverting the standard drive
back to the reduction drive.

3.

Remove hex head cap screw (#6), lock washer (#7),
flat washer (#8), and sleeve (#9). Store sleeve and
hardware in secure dry location for reverting the
standard drive back to the reduction drive.

4.

Install 3/16" lg. spacer (#12) and 19T sprocket (#13)
onto the stub shaft with dual sprocket (#5). Lockout
pin (A) should be facing out as shown.

5.

Secure sprocket (#13) with 3/8"-16 x 3/4" GR5
bolt (#10), lock washer (#11), and flat washer (#12).
Tighten bolt to 31 ft-lbs.

6.

Attach #40 x 56 pitch standard drive roller chain (#22)
to sprockets (#2, #3, & #13).

7.

Attach chain guard (#19) to mounts (#20 & #21) with
hand knobs (#18). Hand tighten knobs.

8.

Secure bottom of guard (#19) with existing
3/8"-16 x 3/4" GR5 bolt (#15), lock washer (#16), and
