TOOLS REQUIRED
• Adjustable wrench
• Petroleum jelly or dielectric grease.
UNPACK UNIT
Remove unit and all other components from
the shipping container. Engage transmission
bypass lever (see
Moving The Unit Manually
on page 12). Push unit from container onto a
level surface. Disengage transmission bypass
lever.
FIRST TIME USE
1. Connect battery. See
Battery Removal
and Installation
on page 19 and perform
steps 2 and 3 in the installation section.
2. Place unit in operating position (figure 3):
a.Tip seat (item 2) back.
b. Secure seat (item 2) to unit with
clamping knob or nut (item 1) (located
in literature pack).
c.Install steering levers (item 3) on the
inside of the handlebar brackets with
mounting hardware (item 4).
d.Adjust steering levers (see
Steering
Lever Adjustments
on page 21).
3. Check oil (see
Check Engine Oil
in
Maintenance Schedule
on page 13).
4. Check tire pressure (see
Specifications
on page 26).
5. Fill fuel tanks (see
Filling The Fuel Tanks
on page 11).
6. Adjust seat (see
