GENERAL LUBRICATION
IMPORTANT: Wipe front axle grease zerk and two front
axle castor pivots clean before and after lubrication.
NOTE: Use Ariens Hi-Temp Grease or equivalent
(part number 00036700).
Gearbox Oil
Check the gearbox oil level once a year or every 200 hours
of operation.
Check the level by parking the unit on a flat, level surface.
Remove the oil plug on the side of the gearbox (accessible
through the service hole underneath the deck). If no oil runs
out, add SAE 90 oil.
To add oil:
1. Add SAE 90 oil until oil seeps from the plug hole, and
then replace the oil plug.
MOWER BLADE REMOVAL
Removal (Figure 19)
1. Block mower blades to prevent rotation.
2. Remove bolts, washers, and mower blades from spindle
shafts.
