3. Disengage the rear (gold plated) lock latches. See
Figure 12.
4. Hold the attachment lift switch in the down position until
the attachment lowers and levels and then pivots into
the service position. See Figure 13.
NOTE: If the deck does not pivot into position, the rear (gold
plated) lock latches may still be engaged.
To return an attachment to an operating position:
1. Hold the attachment lift switch in the up or raise position
until the attachment levels into the highest position and
engages the rear (gold plated) lock latches.
2. Lower the attachment and make sure the attachment is
locked solidly to the lift arms.
3. Make sure the weight transfer system on.
IMPORTANT: The unit is designed to operate with the
weight transfer system turned on. Operating the unit with the
weight transfer system turned off will damage the lift arms
and the unit frame.
Deck Lift Lock Pin
NOTE: A deck lift lock pin ships loose in the literature pack.
This pin helps increase the amount of deck pivot when tilting
the deck into a service position (see
Deck Lift Lock Pin on
page 13). Store it with the manuals under the seat of the
power unit.
The deck lift lock pin holds the deck against the carrier frame
as you pivot the deck into the service position. Locking the
deck against the frame allows the deck to pivot an additional
10–15 degrees when putting the unit in the service position.
To install the deck lift lock pin:
1. Raise the deck to its highest position.
2. Insert the lift lock pin into the holes in the deck lift arm
bracket so the pin slides under the carrier frame.
