Cut a notch in the bottom section 18 of the rescue winch to accept the outrigger 20, as shown in
the illustration, and glue the outrigger in the bottom shell: the top edge of the outrigger should lie
parallel to the joint plane of part 18, and about 3 mm below the edge of the moulding.
Fit the top section 19 over the bottom section and position it resting on the outrigger 20. Align it
carefully all round, and glue it to the projecting flange of part 18.
The completed winch assembly is attached to the fuselage above the right-hand door, as show
in the photo; you will need to cut a rectangular opening in the fuselage shell to accept the
outrigger 20.
(A scale swivel link - as shown - can also be made at the builder’s discretion.)
Cut out the weapons support bases 21 along the marked lines. Glue the plastic flanged bushes
24 centrally over the circular shoulders of the base units using cyano. Allow the glue to set hard,
then continue the 8 mm Ø hole through the flanged bushes and into the bases.
