recharge battery.

Start engine and

observe battery

voltage at full

throttle.

Is voltage at

battery between

13 and 14.7

volts?

Disconnect

regulator-rectifier

plug. Place AC

voltmeter across

AC terminals in

plug and read

voltage.

Does voltage

read less than

41 volts AC at

3600 rpm?

Replace

regulator-

rectifier.

detailed testing

consult the

engine repair

manual.

Notes:

with a DC/AC voltmeter.
