Device storage:
Make sure that the dehydrator is set on a solid and stable surface. Set the desired number of trays.
Connect the device to a power source (220-240 V wall socket). The dehydrator is ready for use.
Use:
1.
Place food that is clean and cut into pieces on trays. Do not place an excessive amount of
food on individual trays. Food pieces should not overlap. Close the lid.
NOTE: Always start placing food starting from the bottom tray and ending at the top tray.
2.
Connect the device to a power source. Turn the unit on and set the temperature.
NOTE: Set a low temperature for small and thin pieces of food, as well as when the amount
of food is small. A higher temperature is recommended in the event of a large amount of
food, as well as for larger pieces of food. It is also possible to reduce the temperature, even
during the drying process. It is recommended especially near the end of the process because
at a lower temperature it is easier to control the degree to which the food is dried.
3.
Close the lid. Put the lid on the last tray and turn the switch to "I". An indicator lamp lights
to indicate that the device is working.
NOTE: Make sure the lid is mounted properly. If you do not have time to dry all the
prepared food in one day, put it into plastic containers and leave in the refrigerator. You can
finish the process the next day.
4.
When finished drying, switch device off (by setting the switch to "0"). Leave the dried
products in the device to cool. Store dried products in a refrigerator, in plastic bags or
containers. For more information on storage see Chapter
Storage.
5.
Disconnect the device from power.
Note! Do not place sieves with products dripping water on the ventilation and heating unit
NOTE: We recommend at least three trays be used, regardless of whether they are filled with food or
not.
Additional information:
- Dehydrator: 5 transparent trays, lid with heating element, motor, fan and thermostat, overheat
protection.
- Air blown by the fan passes through the trays thanks to vents.
- The drying time may differ depending on the moisture content of the products and the humidity in
the room where the dehydrator is used. Use the dehydrator in rooms free from dust, well ventilated,
warm and dry.
Dried fruits and vegetables will be different from those you can buy in health food stores. This is
because when drying at home you are not using preservatives or artificial colouring.
Tips on drying:
The drying time may vary depending on:
- the size and thickness of the dried pieces (fineness)
- the number of trays used
- the quantity of foods dried
- the humidity in the room where the unit is used
- your preference in terms of the degree of food dryness.
It is recommended to:
- Control the drying process at least once every hour.
- Rotate and / or change the position of the trays
- Label the container used to store dried foods with a date and time of drying. This is helpful in the
