JUPITER L-S and LCD Series Control Panel Instruction Manual
Section 4 — Jupiter System Configuration
For example, the LD4 panel provides a maximum of 16 categories; therefore
categories 17 through 98 (as shown by the Jupiter editor) will not be sup-
ported. The CP Input and Output sets are also the Source of the eight-char-
acter mnemonics displayed on the panel.
Further, the CP Input set determines which of the S25, S50, S100, L32, and
L64 Button-per-Source buttons is assigned to which Source. The upper left-
hand button of the panel will select the first Source listed on the CP Input
Set created and selected for this particular panel, the next button to the
right will select the next listed Source, etc.
Note
The total number of units (Jupiter Entry Numbers) within a category is limited
to 4096. For example, the total number of machines within category “VTR” is
limited to 4096.
Sequence Set
A control panel’s
sequence (salvo)
button or menu setting can be used to
execute pre-built Jupiter sequences, where a sequence is a list of switches,
which switches one or more Sources to one or more Destinations.
Setting Up a Salvo with a Sequence Set
A Jupiter sequence is built using the Jupiter Sequence Set table, an example
of which is shown in
Figure 27
.
Figure 27. Sequence Set Table
The sequence set is given an eight-character (max) name and is of type
“CP3800.”
In this example, sequence set “SETUP” contain two sequences: “SETUP1”
and “SETUP2.” “SETUP1” will switch Cameras 1 through 3 to Monitors 1
through 3 with a single Take command. If the Sources and Destination are
valid for all the levels marked yes, then the actual number of switches will
be 3 times the number of levels (3 events x 4 levels = 12 switches).
“SETUP2” will switch the cameras to VTRs 1 through 3. Each sequence can
use 100 event sequences as of Jupiter 7.8.1 (table rows).
