Device-specifi c warnings and safety instructions
DANGER:
Failure to observe the following safety instructions can lead to serious
accidents resulting in severe property damage and injury!
• Always pay attention to traffi c and the area around the vehicle, including by looking directly.
The system is not a substitute for operator/driver attentiveness.
• Use the system only as an aid, and only when it delivers a good, clear picture. Dirt, vibration
or defect can cause the picture to be unclear.
• The driver bears full responsibility during parking, shunting and similar manoeuvers, as well as
for swinging motions of machinery mounted on the vehicle.
• Note that the system cannot detect or correctly show certain surfaces and materials
(such as chain link fences, surfaces of bodies of water, etc.).
• The cameras have dead zones, where they don’t capture objects, animals or people.
• Be particularly mindful of small children and persons near the machine or vehicle in dead zones.
• Always keep an eye on the surroundings, including with the conventional mirror.
• Low or very high obstacles may not show, depending on the angle of the camera.
• The camera lens enlarges, reduces and distorts images, so that objects, persons and distances
to you appear different.
NOTE:
Following the below operating instructions can prevent accidents resulting in
injury and property damage!
• In order to become familiar with the system and its display, we recommend practicing working
and driving manoeuvers in an area without traffi c and away from public roadways, in good
weather and visibility.
• For a good picture, the camera must always be clean and mounted so it is vibration-free.
3. Performance specifi cations
3.1. Intended use
The reversing camera system consists of at least one monitor and one camera.
It is a supplemental aid that gives the driver or operator a better view of the vehicle or machine
and its surroundings.
It is strictly a supplemental support system. The driver has sole responsibility for damage and injury.
The system does not relieve the driver of responsibility for safe driving and attentiveness, and
may be used only in combination with conventional devices such as mirrors, as well as
the driver’s direct view of the roadway as well as surroundings.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for damages caused by failure to comply with generally
accepted regulations as well as the instructions in this manual, including insuffi cient maintenance.
